Sorghum Phytochemicals and Their Potential Impact on Human Health


Based on how certain compounds, including tannins, phenolic acids, anthocyanins, phytosterols and policosanols, reflect health changes in animals, this study was done to determine if sorghum has the potential to impact human health. The possibly affected characteristics by these phytochemicals include reduced obesity, reduced risk of cancer and improved cardiovascular health. This study reviews the currently available information, how it relates to present phytonutrient research and the possible effects on human health.
