New Family Favorites to Get Everyone Around the Kitchen Table

Every family has favorite meals they enjoy sharing. But sometimes it can be difficult to get the entire family around the table to savor special meals together. Busy schedules, work travel and cooking convenience can all play a factor in the time spent at the dinner table. October is National Eat Better, Eat together month, and we are challenging families across the country to enjoy more healthy meals together.

Sorghum is a healthy, easy way to bring your family around the dinner table and discover new family favorites. Sorghum is a whole grain that packs a nutritional punch. Full of fiber, protein, iron and B?complex vitamins, sorghum gives you the fuel to do more family activities. You can also add convenience to the kitchen with sorghum because it is easy to cook! Try cooking sorghum on your stovetop, in a pressure cooker or slow cooker. You can even cook a large batch of sorghum, freeze or refrigerate and use the grain when you need it. The grain will not get soggy or lose its quality. Sorghum is a delicious super grain that will allow you to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your family.
